But it cleans just as well without having to fight to move the machine around or worry about it leaking all over the carpet. This new cleaner is also much easier to fill and replace the clean tank, as well as a whole lot easier to empty the dirty tank. You just need to be sure and lift the dirty tank straight up without tipping it, or you will spill the dirty water! You can tell that it’s doing it’s job just by looking at how nasty the water is in the dirty tank, because it‘s see-through! Also, the small bottle of detergent included (2x Professional Deep Cleaning Formula) goes a long way. We did a small bedroom on just one tank fill-up. The box also came with a small bottle of stain pretreatment, but we didn’t try that. It doesn’t come with any attachments, but it really doesn’t need any. The machine is slim enough to actually do the stairs with little to no trouble whatsoever. The nozzle or bottom of the machine is about 9 ¼” wide; my stairs are about 9 ¾”. For my house, this carpet cleaner is the perfect size.
