QQuestion:* My question is about the Sydney satchels that are made of pvc and poly trim (example: SHB2952976 or SHB2033016) On those models are the handles and straps made of mandmade materials as well? A rep in the phone told me they may be made of leather and I want to double check.

QI was previously told that fossil uses cowhide Leather for their leather products. In the answers someone has stated that the leather is vegan. I see some are PVC, but are the ones that are made of "leather" cowhide leather or manmade/vegan. Can you please confirm.

Verified Reply – SimonHello Neeki, thank you for your question! The Sydney Satchel collection is eco-leather, which is real cowhide leather. Both leather and eco-leather are made from animal hides, however, instead of using a traditional hide preservation process, eco-leather uses a more eco-friendly tanning method, eliminating salt and ultimately the salt-rinsing process. As a result, we significantly reduce water usage in the tanning process (validated by a Life Cycle Assessment). Additionally, eco-leather helps reduce carbon emissions in transportation as we can increase the material quantity while reducing weight. Eco-leather is not vegan and is 100% leather with no plastic or polyurethane.
