I bought this receiver to replace an older 7.1 Harmon Kardon system. I wasn’t using the 7.1 anyway, so I bought the Onkyo because it was the right price with the right features. It was easy to hookup and the instructions are very good to step you through the calibration process. To my ear, the sound from the Onkyo is as good, if not better than the Harmon Kardon. Plus, the Harmon Kardon did not have Bluetooth capability, so I’m liking that about the Onkyo. The quality seems very good for the type of receiver it is.
