I purchased this lens mainly due to the 2.8 speed of it. I take a lot of indoor sports pictures such as Volleyball and Basketball and found I had to shoot with ISO around 1200-1600 with 1/125 to 1/60 shutter speed to get acceptable quality images recorded, yet a lot of the action shots remained somewhat blurry. I took images for the first time with this lens just the other day and my ISO was at 800 with 1/125 to 1/250 and the images are superb with very little if any motion blur. A definite answer to my indoor sports photo issues. Can’t wait to try it out on some wildlife action. Highly recommended.
